Friends of CountyPets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations help Harris County Pets tremendously through programs such as foster emergency veterinary care, animal transport, special adoption events, and much more. Donations also support the ongoing non-mandated needs of Harris County Pets. Big or small, every single donation is greatly appreciated!
HOW DO WE COLLECT DONATIONS?
We are currently using two main methods to collect donations: PayPal and Facebook.
Electronic Check Conversion/Electronic Returned Check Fees Notice
A check can be mailed to Friends of CountyPets at 612 Canino Rd, Houston, TX 77076, with a Bank Authorization form to set up recurring transfers with their initial donation. If you're looking to make a recurring donation on your own, please use Paypal, or if you prefer invoicing for electronic funds or ACH transfer payment, contact Harris County Pets or FoCP Board.
You may also authorize FoCP to debit your account for returned check fees electronically. You allow these electronic fund transfers if you complete the transaction after being told (orally or by a notice posted or sent to you) that we may process the transfer electronically, including if you sign a written authorization.
All donations or campaign fundraisers made for restricted causes stay with those programs.
AM I ABLE TO RECEIVE A TAX WRITE OFF FOR MY DONATION?
Probably. While we can not give tax advice, Friends of CountyPets is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We use Constant Contact to send acknowledgments via email. Facebook does not always provide us with your email address and therefore we might not be able to automatically send you a Thank you for your gift. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive an acknowledgment. Confirm with your tax advisor.
